According to Americans for the Arts, a student involved in the arts is:

  • 4x more likely to be recognized for academic achievement
  • 4x more likely to participate in a math or science fair
  • 3x more likely to win an award for school attendance
  • 3x more likely to be elected to class office

Despite the numerous benefits, the funding for the arts is being cut:

FUN FACT: Students with four years of high school arts classes reported an average of 92 points higher on the SAT than students who took art classes for one-half year or less.

DID YOU KNOW?: According to The Arts and Achievement in At-Risk Youth, "at-risk" students involved in the arts are 23% more likely to attend college than peers with low arts involvement.
