Art has filled my childhood with learning, connection, and purpose.
Here are some of my favorite pieces...

The stone wall that lines my grandmother's rocky driveway in West Tisbury, MA. Martha's Vineyard is a place where I have loved to draw and paint throughout my life. The natural beauty is everywhere.

I enjoy drawing with charcoal. I am always amazed by how many different values and shades of gray I can create. This still life is one of my favorite pieces. When I use my eyes to guide my fingers how to move, I feel like my whole body is concentrating and working as one.

I loved working with a thin black pen on text for this piece. The movement and frequency of the ink lines create depth and perspective.

I love how the vase in this charcoal piece is fluid and launches the flowers upwards, almost like a tree with branches. The whole piece feels alive to me.

Something as mundane as a tool can turn into a beautiful object. I love the depth of the black shadows and playing with sharp lines against smudges.

I find self portraits challenging, but the more I do them, the more I think of them as an opportunity to learn.

I loved the challenge in perspective when I painted the dock. I worked very hard to have the sky and the ocean tell their own story.

In my English class we read "A Christmas Carol." I made this piece to illustrate how family and relationships are more important than material things.

I love drawing with lines. Doodling is my therapy!

I am proud of the light that I was able to create in this piece. The plaster is very relaxing to work with.

My father's favoite food is papaya. I loved making this out of ceramics. The seeds look so real.

Working with ceramics is very rewarding. I made these trays for my mother who loves sushi.

Some of my ancestors are from the island of Rhodes and I made these bowls based on Greek pottery that I have studied.

I made this for my mother for our Friday night Shabbat dinners. I find it rewarding to make art for the people I love.

I love stationery, and I love to write hand written notes. I tried to capture this love in mini envelopes.

Writing and illustrating this graphic novel was very rewarding. It tells the story of my grandmother's prayer book that she carried with her during her immigration. Learning about history through art is fascinating.

The layering made this project like a puzzle for me. The different shades of browns helped to create depth and energy.

My parents, my sisters and I love to do family still lives together. We did them every day in 2020 during Covid!

In this piece I reflected on perfectionism and how it can weaken the heart (and my own art).

In this piece I was thinking about all of the lines and stories that live in our hands.

I love drawing spheres.

One of my favorites from elementary school.

Another favorite from elementary school. I remember being so proud of this piece.

My grandfather was a Professor of Architecture and City Planning at MIT for many years. I made him this poster for his office.

This is one of my favorite pieces from when I was younger. I love how whimsical and playful it is.
