I am the assistant teacher for the youth art class Recyclable Arts and More! at the New Art Center in Newton, MA. I love seeing the students get excited about making art, and every class reminds me how important creativity is for young people. It is very rewarding to know that I am helping them build confidence and enjoy expressing themselves through art.
I also work as an intern at the New Art Center, where I organize art materials, stock supplies, and help keep the studios running smoothly. I took classes at the New Art Center when I was younger, and they had a huge impact on me. Being able to come back and give that same experience to younger students means a lot. I am also working to create a Teen Arts Council to help get more local teens involved in the arts and build a stronger creative community.
